Široki Primorka named Jakša Vulić new coach

18. November 2013, 22:25

The fifth defeat in a row forced Široki Primorka to make the move in the coaching position and on Monday Damir Vujanović was replaced with Jakša Vulić, who will lead teh team against Krka on Sunday.

Vulić, who was so far the assistant coach in Cedevita, was a logical choice after he alreday has three experiences with coaching Široki in ABA League. First he was there in 2003/04, when the club won the double crown (national championship and national cup) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Two years later he came back to the club and won the national cup while for the third time he was coaching the junior team and produced numerous players for the senior team.

"We thank our former coach for a very fair cooperation. He is a young and talented coach, who still needs some further coaching education so we will offer him to be the assistant coach. We are aware that one of the reasons for so many defeats is a tough schedule and the strong league. It is also possible that we will make some changes in the team," said the club's president Ante Suton.
