The French forward, who had a great start into the season before he was slowed down, injured his anterior cruciate ligament according to the first diagnosis and might be sidelined until spring 2014. "The situation with Westermann is not good. Based on first examinations it is almost certain that he injured his anterior cruciate ligaments. This is bad news for all of us. The situation is even more complicated because he already sustained the same injury in the past and also underwent a surgery. He had a lot of choices where to continue his career before he came to Belgrade but he wanted to experience the ambience in hall Pionir. He had plenty of offers also during his stay in our club but he showed loyalty and patience. He didn't deserve something like this," said coach Duško Vujošević.

Westermann averaged 8,7 points, 3 rebounds and 2,9 assists per game in ABA League in 2013/14 season.

---------------------------------------------

On praktièno nije imao pravu zamenu," rekao je Duško Vujošević.
